Daniel “Big Danny” Campbell, 64, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away September 8, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana. He was born September 21, 1951 in Columbus, Indiana. He was the son of Walter R. and Lillie (Burton) Campbell. He married Candace J. Gabbard and she survives.

He is survived by a daughter, Stacy L. Campbell, of Edinburgh; a future son-in-law, Kevin Burris, of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Trenton Browning and Kandyce Campbell; brothers, Charles Fritz Campbell, of Edinburgh, and Harold (Sherry) Griggs, of Franklin; and a sister, Judy Campbell, of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Harold Daniel “Little Danny” Campbell, a daughter, Lisa Campbell, and a brother, Vannie Griggs.

He was a member of the Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church and the Sons of the American Legion Post 233 of Edinburgh. He was formerly employed at Arvin in Franklin as a forklift driver.

He enjoyed time with his grandchildren, his dogs, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, working on old cars, camping, horseback riding and listening to George Jones.

The funeral service will be at noon Monday, September 12, 2016, conducted by the Rev. Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will-Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be on Sunday, September 11 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the church and from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
