Hope area retired elementary teachers Barb Johnson and Beth Newman will be guests on the live radio talk show “Hoosier History Live” from noon to 1 p.m. today on WICR 88.7 FM or online at hoosierhistorylive.org.
The show’s topic is “Hope’s Moravian Heritage” with a discussion of Martin Hauser’s settlement of the town in 1830, first as a “congregational town” for Moravians, and the town’s continuing distinctive cultural heritage.
The live show will feature a History Mystery trivia question, and Indiana Bicentennial Commission Executive Director Perry Hammond also will be calling in to congratulate area residents on the upcoming Hartsville Bicentennial Festival on Sept. 17 and 18.
