LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex.

Authorities say the incident happened Friday just before 10:30 a.m.

Officers were called about a report of a man being shot.

They found the victim on a second floor landing with a gunshot wound.

He was rushed to the hospital but died a short time later.

According to investigators, the victim had gotten into an argument with 22-year-old Asa Brown just before the shooting.

They say Brown fled before they arrived and remains at large.

Brown is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

They say the death is the 118th homicide investigated by Vegas police this year.
