Faurecia will host a food drive in Columbus Friday to support Love Chapel, and has changed the location.
Donation of nonperishable food will be collected from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Fair Oaks Mall, 2380 25th St. Employees will be accepting food or donations for Love Chapel.
Items sought include canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, granola or breakfast bars, macaroni and cheese or pasta, peanut butter, pork and beans, ramen noodles or low-salt soups.
The donation event is part of the company’s FUELS (Faurecia Unites with Employees for Local Service) effort, in which Faurecia’s employees at the company’s 44 manufacturing plants and research and development facilities compete to raise food and money for local food bank partners.
Employees will spend September attempting to provide 800,000 meals company-wide for their communities. For sites that reach their targets, the company donates an extra $1,000 to the food bank partner. Faurecia will award $5,000 to the food bank of the most successful site in the United States, Canada and in Mexico.
