RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. — Authorities say a charter bus crashed at a Los Angeles County resort after the driver experienced a medical problem.

Sheriff’s officials say the bus was exiting the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes when it veered down an embankment back onto the coastal property.

The bus sheared a hydrant and hit a tree but remained upright. No passengers were hurt.

City News Service says the driver was hospitalized in unknown condition.
