DAVENPORT, Iowa — Police have arrested a Rock Island man in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian early Sunday west of downtown Davenport.
The Quad-City Times reports (http://bit.ly/2cmDQow ) Davenport police arrested 37-year-old Randal Lee Brocksieck, who appeared Monday in Scott County District Court to face charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident and not having insurance. He posted bond and was released from jail.
Brocksieck was arrested following the hit-and-run death of 28-year-old Donavon Sammon, who was struck about 1:20 a.m. Sunday in a residential area west of downtown. Sammon, of Scott County, was declared dead at a hospital.
Brocksieck couldn’t be reached to comment on the charges.
