JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Two men have been killed in separate shootings in Jersey City that also left three women wounded.

The first shooting happened early Sunday morning.

Police say they found 35-year-old Shaheer Parson with gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Three women were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They’re listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made.

The second shooting happened early Monday morning.

Police say they found 17-year-old Anthony Rios with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later arrested 18-year-old Jacob Pommerehn in connection with that shooting. He faces aggravated manslaughter and other charges. It’s unclear if he has an attorney who can comment on the charges.
