KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The gorilla exhibit at Knoxville’s zoo has a new arrival.
Media outlets report that a western lowland gorilla gave birth on Saturday night. The sex and weight of the baby gorilla aren’t yet known and it hasn’t been named.
It’s the third gorilla born at the zoo in the past 16 months and the sixth overall for mother gorilla Kowali. The other five were born at a zoo in Chicago.
