FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Coroners have identified the three men who were shot to death inside a Fort Wayne bar.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office said Wednesday the shootings inside Sports and Spirits killed 30-year-old Nicholas Lee Powers, 21-year-old Demario Laquan Burnett and 31-year-old Jerry Trivon Coleman. All three were Fort Wayne residents.

Police have said officers and paramedics found the three men fatally wounded inside the near east side bar about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Two other men were hospitalized in good condition with gunshot wounds.

Witnesses have said they heard gunshots and saw a person running from the scene. Police say they don’t know how many people were responsible for the shootings, and no arrests have been made.

The owners of the trouble-prone bar have since announced they won’t reopen.
