Brian’s picks – September 15th

Children’s singer/guitarist Scott Rudicel is something of the Sultan of Silliness, given his mix of lighthearted songs and a pal he refers to in tunes as Silly Billy. Rudicel, better known by the stage name of Ruditoonz, performed in January at Old National Bank’s First Fridays For Families event at The Commons. He returns to Columbus to present a free show at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Mill Race Park amphitheater on Fifth Street in Columbus. Information: ruditoonz.com

What’s not to like about pulled pork sandwiches, a parade, music from gospel to blues, fireworks and a little outdoor vendor shopping from art to clothes? The free 49th Annual Hope Heritage Days, Sept. 23 to 25, offers all that and more on the historic Hope Town Square. Information: hopeheritagedays.org
