Lawrence H. “Larry” Flood II, 81, of Columbus, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at his home. Larry was born May 16, 1935, in Miami, Florida, the son of Harold Vinton and Anne Marian Byrnes Flood.

He was employed over his lifetime as a commercial steam and pipefitter through the local Steam and Pipefitters Union. He was an avid tennis player.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Jane White Flood; his children, Lori (Mark) Hatch of Buffalo, New York, Larry Flood of Vallejo, California, and Lance (Rosario) Flood of Miami, Florida; stepchildren, Ronald Todd Jones of San Juan, Capistrano, Jody (Leslie) Jones of Bargersville and Margaret Renae (Gary) Banks of Elizabethtown; his brother, Michael Flood of Sebring, Floida; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Flood; and a brother, Joseph Flood.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation is planned. There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street was entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials for Larry may be directed to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
