ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Authorities say a man is facing charges after his New York City wife called authorities and said he’d married another woman in Pennsylvania.

Arturo Reid, of Allentown, has been arrested and was charged on Wednesday with bigamy, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Investigators say the 65-year-old’s wife in Brooklyn called the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office in June saying her husband had married another woman.

Officials say she discovered a February 2015 receipt from a Pennsylvania county marriage license agency showing Reid was a “Payor” on a marriage application to another woman.

Investigators determined that Reid and the Allentown woman had received a marriage certificate in March 2015. They also determined that Reid and his first wife had married in 2004 and never divorced.

It’s not clear if Reid has a lawyer.
