Woman revived in Columbus after suspected drug overdose

Columbus police revived an Anderson woman after she was believed to have overdosed on heroin in the 700 block of Union Street.

Angel M. Blanch Tucker, 39, 934 Washington Blvd., Anderson, was unresponsive and not breathing when Officer Wesley Dodge used naloxone to revive her at about 6 p.m. Wednesday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

After she was treated at Columbus Regional Hospital, Tucker was arrested on charges of possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and an Indiana parole warrant.

Tucker is being held without bond in the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
