Beverly Kay Richards, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus, Indiana. She was born August 26, 1940, in Wabash, to Hubert E. and Flora Bernice (Biggs) Barrett.
Beverly married Ralph Richards at Wabash Christian Church on October 16, 1960. He preceded her in death January 21, 2008.
She was a receptionist for Dr. Richard Day DDS for 12 years and was a member of Wabash Christian Church, Woman’s Clubhouse and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Kraig) Weisner of Elizabethtown, Indiana; two grandchildren, Matthew Bergman of Columbus, Indiana, and Amanda Bergman of Elizabethtown; a sister-in-law, Penny Barrett of Texas; and her brother-in-law, Charles Ravenscroft of Wabash.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George Barrett, and two sisters, Betty Hettmansperger and Peggy Ravenscroft.
Funeral services were held June 13 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service in Wabash with David Mills officiating. Entombment was at Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
