Cougar boys, girls take 2nd in county meet
GREENSBURG — South Decatur’s boys and girls cross-country teams both finished second in Thursday’s Decatur County meet at Greensburg.
The host Pirates won the boys meet with 20 points to 43 for the Cougars and 68 for North Decatur. Greensburg’s girls scored 21 points to 50 for South Decatur and 56 for North Decatur.
Cole Bower led the Cougar boys with a third-place finish in 19 minutes, 15 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Brandon Malott took seventh in 20:04, while Dylan Cowans was ninth (20:11), Charlie Hamilton 10th (20:13), Nolan Storm 17th (22:59), Carl Kroger 19th (23:54) and Conner Bower 24th (28:42).
Sierra Kalli finished fourth in 24:31 to lead the South Decatur girls. Hannah Miller took eighth in 25:29, while Stacy Fox was 10th (26:28), Claire Hamilton 13th (27:56), Marta Reputin 15th (29:17), Pilar Garcia 16th (30:40), and Tori Storm 17th (30:44).
