The Democratic Party of Bartholomew County will have an open house today at its new headquarters.
The grand opening and reception at the new headquarters, 1417 Chestnut St., is 2 to 5 p.m. and open to the public.
The office is open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., although hours will expand closer to the Nov. 8 general election.
Meanwhile, the party will conduct its quarterly fundraiser 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Donner Center, with former Indiana first lady Susan Bayh as guest speaker.
She is the wife of Indiana U.S. Senate candidate Evan Bayh, who served two terms as Indiana governor from 1989 to 1997 and represented Indiana in the U.S. Senate from 1999 to 2011.
Cost for the fundraising dinner is $15 per person. To reserve a ticket, contact Jessie Hill at 812-378-4264.
