BALTIMORE — Baltimore police say a suspect has been taken into custody after officers were called to the scene of what they called a “barricade” situation involving a person who may have had access to a firearm.

The Baltimore Police Department said via its Twitter account on Sunday that officers are “working to secure area and reopen roads” after being called to the 1600 block of Whetstone Way.

Det. Nicole Monroe said in an email that several roads near the Harris Teeter shopping center as well as portions of I-95 were closed after police responded to the scene.
