RAMAPO, N.Y. — Authorities say a 16-year-old threatened a younger student with a loaded gun during an argument on a suburban New York school bus.

The Journal News (http://lohud.us/2cZNvBt ) says the incident occurred last Friday after classes at Ramapo (RAM’-uh-poh) High School.

The teen was arrested Friday evening. Police say the gun was recovered in a car as he was riding around with a 23-year-old.

Investigators are tracking the origins of the weapon.

Detective Lt. Mark Emma says the two students were in a “confined area” of the bus when the incident occurred.
