PORTLAND, Ore. — Police have identified a man shot to death in Portland Monday as 18-year-old Marquis Taylor.

Portland police say Taylor died of a single gunshot wound Monday night.

Responding officers found Taylor in the 8100 block of North Hereford Avenue near Cesar Chavez School. Medical personnel determined he had died.

Police say preliminary information indicates that witnesses heard gunfire and that the victim ran some distance to where he was found by police. At this point police say they have no suspect information and no motive has been determined.
