Jenny’s Picks – September 22nd

I have a big, soft heart, and nothing warms it quite like big, soft alpacas. Thank goodness it’s time once again for National Alpaca Farm Days, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 24 and 25 at Hoosier Heartland Alpacas, 2500 N. County Road 1000W, Seymour, 1.5 miles southeast of Reddington, 2 miles off U.S. 31. Meet and learn about alpacas and the luxury fibers produced from their coats and watch spinners making yarn. Free and open to the public. Information: hoosierheartlandalpacas.com and 812-445-7874.

The Art House in the Red Room Film Series returns 6 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., with a screening of 1970’s “El Topo” will be shown. The showing is free and open to the public. Information: 812-379-1266 and mybcpl.org.

Tickets are available for return of the Not-So-Newlywed Game, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6, Upland Pump House.
