VINELAND, N.J. — Authorities say a police officer has been released from the hospital after he was slashed in the head and face during a struggle with a New Jersey man.
The Press of Atlantic City reports (http://bit.ly/2dotGWU ) authorities said Thursday Officer John Warrington has been released from the hospital.
Police say two officers and state workers were checking on the well-being of a resident at a Vineland home Wednesday afternoon when a fight broke out.
Authorities say Johnny Flores stabbed Warrington, a 14-year veteran of the force, in the head and face with a knife.
Flores faces charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault on a police officer. He remains jailed on $500,000 bail.
It’s not known if he has a lawyer.
