Myron E. “Turtle” Owens, 62, of Seymour, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his mother, Juanita Johnson Owens Korte; his wife, Jane Mousa Owens; children, Nathan (Latasha) Owens and Jason Owens; six grandchildren; sisters, Cynthia Darlage, Lisa (Jeff) Atha and Lori (Ivan) Schultz; brothers, William H. “Stiffy” (Jeannine) Owens Jr. and Tom “Pidge” Owens; and stepsons, Jacob and Brandon Henley.
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. “Stiffy” Owens Sr.; and a son, Nicholas Owens.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel in Seymour with the Rev. Gary Dyer officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday.
Memorials may be made to Red Sky Rescue or the donor’s choice of charities.
