ALEXANDRIA TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Authorities have released the names of the two people killed when a small plane crashed at a New Jersey airport.

Hunterdon County prosecutors say 59-year-old Gerald Budge, of Robbinsville, and 52-year-old Karen Lowe, of Telford, Pennsylvania were in the Mooney M20 plane that went down Sunday afternoon at Sky Manor Airport in Alexandria Township.

It’s not yet known what caused the crash. A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman has said the plane stalled while trying to land and crashed into a field.

Authorities have not said who was piloting the plane.

No one on the ground was injured in the incident.

State police and the FAA are investigating the crash.
