NEW YORK — Police say a woman was fatally stabbed in front of her New York City home and a man has been taken into custody.

Police say officers found 47-year-old Hannah Donald with stab wounds to her chest, neck and left arm Monday evening near her home in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Flatbush.

Emergency responders took Donald to a hospital, where police say she died of her injuries.

Police say a 57-year-old man has been taken into custody.

An investigation is ongoing.
