Carmel
Martha Ann Milakovic, 84, of Carmel, a former Columbus resident, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at Brookdale of Carmel.
Mrs. Milakovic was born in Chesterfield, Indiana, Nov. 12, 1931, the daughter of Cassell and Ruth Thicksten Otto. She married Bruno Charles Milakovic Dec. 19, 1953.
She is retired from Bartholomew Consolidated Schools where she taught home economics at Central Middle School. She was a member of North Christian Church, Shakespeare Club and Home Ec Club and was a driver for the Little Red Door. She loved to cook, sew, garden and spoil her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Bruno Charles Milakovic of Carmel; daughters, Mikal Ann (William) Meeks of Paris, Texas, and Millicent Ann (Gregory) Mitchell of West Lafayette, Indiana; sister, Evelyn Keith of New Castle, Indiana; grandchildren, Duncan and Ross Mitchell of West Lafayette, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Annette Barnes officiating. Calling will be from noon until service time. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
