CLAREMONT, N.H. — A candlelight vigil will be held in New Hampshire in support of the family of a man who died after he was shot in a confrontation with police.
The Eagle-Times (http://bit.ly/2cNKIMo ) reports the vigil organized by William Rhodes for Cody Lafont’s family will start at 6 p.m. Friday at Opera House Square in Claremont.
Rhodes says about 100 to 150 people are expected to attend, including state Rep. Max Abramson of Rockingham.
Autopsy results say the 25-year-old Lafont was shot three times in the chest on Sunday. Police had responded to a 911 call to the home.
The attorney general’s office is investigating the shooting. Police Chief Alex Scott says at least one city police officer involved has been “removed from line duty” pending the outcome of the investigation.
