Columbus police arrested two people after a man said he was stabbed in the arm and had a knife held to his throat during a fight.
Columbus police officer Marc Hutcheson was sent to the 5200 block of Regency Drive at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday about a stabbing, said officer Justin Black, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Hutcheson talked to the victim who said two acquaintances had come over to discuss personal matters, which led to a heated argument and physical altercation, Black said.
The victim told police that Trenton Bunch, 20, 3215 25th St., pulled out a knife during the altercation and stabbed the victim on his arm, causing a non-life-threatening injury, Black said.
During the fight, Melinda Phillips, 18, 2133 Chandler Lane, was accused of coming up behind the victim and holding a knife to his throat, Black said.
After the struggle, the victim was able to get away and call police. Officers located Bunch and Phillips in the 2100 block of Chandler Lane a short time later, Black said.
Bunch was arrested on a charge of felony battery with a deadly weapon and is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond, jail officials said.
Phillips was arrested on a charge of felony intimidation with a deadly weapon and was released from jail after posting $15,000 bond, jail officials said.
