Terry A. Anderson, 66, of Columbus, died unexpectedly at 12:43 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at his home.

Mr. Anderson was a devoted father, loved his family and enjoyed listening to his grandson Jacob play the piano. He worked at Cummins Engine Company for 32 years and was the past master and current treasurer of the Golden Crown Masonic Lodge 34. Terry co-founded the Lincoln Central Family Neighborhood Center, becoming the first president, and remained an active member for 25 years. Terry and his late wife, Sandra, were instrumental in the creation of the Ninth Street Park. Because of this accomplishment, there will be a celebration of life held at the park the evening of Oct. 22, 2016, in their memory.

Terry was a stranger to no one and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Anderson was born in New Liberty, Kentucky, October 22, 1946, to the late Richard Kevin Anderson and Mary Katherine.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, on February 18, 2016, and sister, Vickie Moody, on December 19, 2009.

Survivors include his son, James Christopher Erin Anderson; grandchildren, Jacob Cameron Eli Anderson and Jaiden Elizabeth Anderson.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Second Baptist Church, 1325 10th St., Columbus, with the Rev. Larry Rowe officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
