Letters to the editor pertaining to the May 3 primary election and the candi-dates must be received by The Republic a week from today, by 5 p.m. April 22.

Letters should be kept to a maximum of 500 words. They must include the writer’s name, address and daytime telephone number for verification to be considered for publication.
Candidates for office are not permitted to submit letters to the editor during election season, although supporters of candidates may do so.
