Early voting at the Jennings County Courthouse in Vernon for the Nov. 8 general election is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily beginning Wednesday.
In order to vote in this year’s election, eligible voters must be registered by noon Tuesday, said Brenda King, county election deputy.
“So far, new registrations are about the same as in the previous elections and we have not seen any problems,” King said.
Applications for absentee ballots must be received at the clerk’s office by Oct. 31. The ballots can be hand-delivered back to the clerk’s office by noon on Election Day.
Requests for visits by the travel board to confined voters can be made through the Jennings County Election Office. For more information, call 812-352-3080.
