SHREVEPORT, La. — Two men have been arrested after leading Shreveport police on a chase that ended when their car crashed into a light pole, a metal trash can, a bus stop and a street sign.

The Shreveport Times reports ( 24-year-old Darrell W. Turner and J.B. Smart were taken into custody following the incident Friday night.

When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on an erratic, police say the driver sped off, passing other vehicles, before later crashing. No one was injured.

Turner faces charges of careless operation, simple property damage, marijuana possession and flight in a vehicle. Smart was charged with resisting an officer, hit and run driving and marijuana possession.

It’s unclear if they have attorneys.
