Police arrest local man after finding him unresponsive in a vehicle

A report of a suspicious man unresponsive in a vehicle led to his arrest in the 2700 block of North National Road.

Ryan N. Roberts, 21, 3882 N. Tudor Court, was found unresponsive in a vehicle there at about 6:45 p.m. Sunday. Officer Jeremy Jones was sent to check on him, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

When Jones arrived, Roberts woke up and began reaching under the driver’s seat and refused to show his hands, Harris said.

Jones found a pellet gun under the driver’s seat as well as a syringe and a small amount of heroin in Robert’s vehicle, Harris said. Roberts was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of heroin, possession of a legend drug injection device and possession of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.
