Tickets, at $40 each, are still available for a tailgate party fundraiser tied to Sunday’s NFL game between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.
The event at Mill Race Center, 900 Lindsey St. in Columbus, is built around the game being played that night at NRG Stadium in Houston. The indoor gathering will include traditional tailgate food such as burgers, hot dogs and other offerings, according to organizers. The tailgate party starts at 5:30 p.m., three hours prior to the 8:30 kickoff.
The party is to generate support for the nonprofit Just Friends Adult Day Services, which helps frail seniors remain active and involved with others.
Supporters who cannot attend still can purchase $25 raffle tickets for a chance to win two tickets to Columbus native Forrest Lucas’ private box at Lucas Oil Stadium for the Colts’ Nov. 24 Thanksgiving Day game wth the Pittsburgh Steelers. Suite tickets include all food and drink, including alcoholic beverages.
