McGill scored both goals in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Columbus East in the Seymour Sectional final. He also scored a goal in a 3-0 first-round win against Seymour.

His performance last week: “I still missed a couple chances that I should have put in, but my teammates are supporting me.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I listen to music before every game.”

Favorite drink: “White Gatorade”

Favorite food: “Wings”

Favorite book: “Siddhartha”

Favorite class: “Math”

Role model: “Cristiano Ronaldo”

Best advice: “If things don’t go right, just keep your head up, and keep trying to achieve your goals.”

Athletics goal: “I’d like to play Division I soccer.”

If you could travel anywhere: “I would travel to Spain to see some soccer played over there, like Real Madrid and Barcelona.”

Brougher ran 18 minutes, 24.59 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles) to win Saturday’s Brown County Sectional and lead the Bull Dogs to the team championship.

Her performance last week: “I was really happy with my race. I’ve been really working hard for this, to get back to where I was last year. It was a fun race for me and my teammates because all of us had season-bests.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I like to think about what the race is going to be like. I like to visualize my race on the course in my head.”

Favorite drink: “Chocolate milk”

Favorite food: “Grilled chicken”

Favorite book: “The Lion King”

Favorite class: “Drawing and painting”

Role model: “My sister (Rebecca Davis) is a good role model for me.”

Best advice: “To keep working at whatever you’re doing with all of your heart and see what you can do because you can always do a lot more than you think you can.”

Athletics goal: “I want to keep improving my times to see what I am capable of and to see where it can take me someday.”

If you could travel anywhere: “I would like to travel out West because I have never gone out there, and I think the mountains are really pretty and I think I would like it out there.”
