Letters to the editor pertaining to the Nov. 8 general election and the candidates must be received by The Republic by 5 p.m. Oct. 28.

Letters should be kept to a maximum of 500 words. They must include the writer’s name, address and daytime phone number for verification to be considered for publication. Candidates for office are not permitted to submit letters to the editor during election season, although supporters of candidates may do so.
