Robotics team set to compete in state event

A robotics team from Columbus will compete in an event Saturday in Indianapolis.

Columbus FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition team GalacTech will be one of 21 teams from across Indiana competing at Southport High School.

Teams will play Stronghold in the robotics competition but will face new defenses protecting the opponent’s castle, said Danny Blau, lead engineering mentor for Southport High School robotics team CyberCards.

The event will allow experienced competitors to train new team members.
