SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Police in Sacramento said two men and a woman found dead in a Sacramento home suffered traumatic injuries and that their killings were not random acts of crime.

Officer Matthew McPhail told KCRA-TV on Sunday that investigators have not been able to determine the motive or the nature of the victims’ injuries.

While police have not released any suspect information, McPhail said detectives do not believe the three were the victims of a random crime.

A relative told the news station the dead men were his 20- and 23-year-old cousins and the woman was his grandmother.

Ken McElroy called them “good people.”
