TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County authorities say a 49-year-old man sought in a double homicide is in custody.

Sheriff’s Deputy Cody Gress says Raymond Manny Valencia was taken into custody Sunday and booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.

The Sheriff’s Department says Valencia was sought in the killings of 48-year-old Carlos Rendon and 18-year-old Jackelyne Padilla.

Deputies called to a home in Tucson’s southwestern outskirts Saturday night found the victim’s bodies inside. Both had gunshot wounds.

Gress said Valencia was arrested without incident but that he couldn’t comment on how or where Valencia was located, a possible motive for the killings or whether the victims were related.

Gress also said he didn’t know whether Valencia has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
