Cinema to show movie about dyslexia

As part of National Dyslexia Awareness Month, YES Cinema, 328 Jackson St., will screen a movie about dyslexia at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday.

“Dislecksia: The Movie” is a documentary which weaves vintage classroom footage with celebrity interviews and adds a comedic touch by dyslexic director Harvey Hubbell V. It is the first film to discuss dyslexia as a learning difference instead of a disability.

It is presented as a Columbus North senior project and by READS (Recognizing, Educating and Advocating for Dyslexic Students). Experts will be on hand to answer questions and share resources.
