NEW CITY, N.Y. — Dozens of New Jersey high school students were injured in an accident involving two school buses in New York.

State police say one bus rear-ended another bus as they were exiting the Palisades Interstate Parkway at Exit 11 in New City just after 2 p.m. Monday. All of the injuries were considered minor.

The buses were carrying students from Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest, New Jersey.

Police say 40 to 60 students were taken to a hospital to be checked for various bumps and bruises.
