SEBASTOPOL, Calif. — The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a shooting that left one dead and two injured in rural Sebastopol.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports ( ) that sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Spencer Crum says 36-year-old Nathan Proto was killed Saturday at a rural home. Two other people, a man and a woman, were also injured. The sheriff’s office has not released their names and they were listed as in critical condition as of Monday.

Authorities responded Saturday after the female victim called to report the incident.

Investigators have not elaborated on the triple shooting and it is unclear if it was connected to a greenhouse full of marijuana found at the scene.
