Guest speaker at Architectural Archives annual meeting

A project architect for the Columbus Occupational Health Association building is the guest speaker at the Columbus Indiana Architectural Archives annual meeting.

Michael Ross became a leading expert in health care design and is focusing on architectural journalism, advocating design excellence. The Columbus Occupational Health Association building was recognized for design excellence and a national American Institute of Architects Honor Award in 1976.

His presentation will be Thursday, beginning with a tour of the health association building at 605 Cottage Ave. at 4 p.m., followed by the annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Columbus Area Visitors Center, 506 Fifth St.

Ross plans to talk about the original design intents of the building, its importance to New-York-based Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, where Ross worked, and the impact on his career.

A panel discussion will follow. The tour and annual meeting are free and open to the public.
