Letter: Clinton another sign of moral decay of country

People keep asking me, “How did we get to this point in our electoral process?” And I keep saying that this is just the natural progression of a society that has run amok. That these candidates are not an aberration but a reflection of what we have allowed our society to become.

Just look around us. We idolize the perverse and shun the proper. We praise the deplorable and demonize the innocent. We keep having children despite having no true “fathers.” We have lost our moral compass and don’t go to church. We have become accustomed to having 50 percent of our citizenry dependent upon our government despite it being broke. We have allowed ourselves to be divided and subjugated by our politicians. Laws have become relative and are no longer equally applied. So the question was never how did this happen but when was this going to occur.

So here we are today trying to choose between two dreadful candidates. One is a bombastic blowhard with questionable personality traits, and the other is a sociopathic equivocator with megalomania. So how do we choose?

I just watched the third debate and I saw a smooth, polished professional liar go against an unpolished businessman who is used to directing and not debating. I try to stay abreast of the situation politically, and everything Hillary said made me want to get sick — Putin and espionage, woman’s right to abort, she cares about the middle class, she has the experience etc. WikiLeaks has just confirmed what all of us have known and many refused to believe: she is a lying, conniving, self-absorbed politician who cares nothing for the USA. Everything she is involved in goes bad except her bank account and political influence.

So for me the answer is easy. Hillary is and always has been a part of the problem and has done nothing over the past 30 years to make this country better. She has profited abundantly and has stayed above the law despite breaking it numerous times. She is unfit physically, emotionally and ideologically to be the leader of the greatest country in the history of mankind. She literally should be in jail and not in the White House.

So am I a “never Hillary” person? You betcha. Do I think Donald is the best candidate when compared to Hillary? Yes!

To quote my favorite liberal Democrat Jimmy Buffett:

“We need more fruitcakes in this world and less bakers

We need people that care! I’m mad as hell

And I don’t want to take it anymore”

Don’t forget about the local elections; we cannot let this great conservative state go liberal.
