Brian Lee Dooley, 55, of Columbus, passed away at 12:11 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.
Brian was an avid IU basketball and Notre Dame football fan. He loved to fish, golf and play cards with his family. He was also a member of The Crossing Church. Brian was always the life of the party.
He was born in Columbus, Indiana, April 1, 1961, to Daniel and Virginia VanNorman Dooley.
Survivors include his daughter, Andi (Steve) Schloesser of Florida; son, Danny Dooley of Florida; grandson, Bryce Schloesser of Florida; mother, Virginia Dooley of Columbus; siblings, Mark (Deena) Dooley of Columbus, Tim (Shera) Dooley of Greensburg, Tammie Hawley of Columbus, Greg (Kellie) Dooley of North Liberty and Vicki Smith of Columbus; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Dooley;a brother-in-law, Kenny Smith; and his grandparents.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, at Garland Brook Cemetery with Pastor Hywel Thomas officiating.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
