• Silver Oaks Health Campus for hosting trick-or-treat night for both residents and kids to enjoy, from a grateful mother of two.

• Shelly Burton for everything she’s done for veterans, and to her husband, David, also a veteran, who helps in numerous ways, from a fellow veteran.

• Tracy Embree for showing our girls that bravery is something we have to choose.

• Mayor Jim Lienhoop and council for your integrity and efforts in completing the work for our city that the majority of citizens elected you to do, as we the people of Columbus appreciate you.

• my loving family, wonderful friends and neighbors and all who shared in the celebration of my 90th birthday, from Ginny K.

• the gentleman in the green pickup truck who informed me my brake light was out.

• Officer Norman, the first responders, the ER crew, Nurse Amy and Dr. Fox for taking great care of me after I was struck by another vehicle Thursday on Jonesville Road, and thanks to Emmy and John Wischmeier who saw the accident calmed me down, from Ann Bishop.

• lawbreakers who don’t stop before turning right on red.

• those who organized the recent “A Taste of Columbus” for preventing rather than encouraging children to eat with their parents as a family.

• the teenage driver who ran me off River Road in Columbus at 7:40 a.m. Thursday because you thought of no one but yourself.

• drivers who are too busy with their cellphone or smoking a cigarette and therefore are driving under the speed limit.

• whoever took two plastic buckets from my back yard without my permission when they were cleaning out the trash next door.

• the presidential candidate who should be incarcerated for sexual assaults toward women.

• athletic clothing that degrades women.

• the elected official who needs to be recalled.

• the lady who saw that a cashier was bent over in pain and said “are you going to check me out or not?”

• people walking after dark in dark clothing who don’t realize forcing me to not run over them is my business and they need to have appropriate reflective clothing on.

• those who don’t realize that people in dark clothing are harder to see at night, even with headlights.
