It seems that our state legislative representative, Milo Smith, is earning money by assisting clients to reduce the taxes they owe. There is nothing illegal in this. However, it doesn’t seem right that the same person who helps form our state tax laws and who must be concerned that Indiana has sufficient revenue is simultaneously helping people reduce the local taxes they pay. It is rather like trying to serve two masters.
A better choice would be someone who faces no such conflicts and who has a record of outstanding public service. That person is Bob Pitman. He stands for basic Hoosier values, for fairness and doing, straightforwardly, what is right.
Bob Pitman should be our next state representative.
