Letter: Pitman will help district residents as representative

Voters, I have known Bob Pitman since 1985 when we were in the Leadership Bartholomew County class together. We stayed in touch. When I retired from the hospital in 1995, I went to work at the senior center, which was then located where the Pump House is now. This was not an ideal place for seniors. Bob began a drive to build a new senior center to serve our increasing senior population.

With much community input, a property was selected and plans were made to design a new facility for senior citizens. After decades of work, Bob got it built. He knew every person who belonged to the senior center and greeted them by name when they came into the building. He was truly concerned about members and helped those with problems to improve their lives.

As a state representative, I believe that Bob will listen to and help people in his district.
