Our view this morning: Shot fired at Republic building; police investigating another similar incident

A window on the northeast side of The Republic building was shot out by what Columbus police believe was a pellet or bb gun early Wednesday morning.

The vandalism follows several days of similar damage to ColumBUS glass enclosures where customers wait for buses, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

The window was shot out just after midnight, police said. There were no injuries.

Columbus police are asking anyone with information about the vandalism to the window or to the bus enclosures call Detective Tom Foust at  812-376-2642.
