Beginning today, Force Construction will begin closing and shifting lanes on the State Street Bridge leading into the east side of Columbus.
This is the beginning of the State Street Urban Streetscape Project, Columbus city officials said.
Two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane on the bridge will be closing or shifting as work begins, city officials said.
McKinley Avenue at State Street also will close through mid-December as part of the project.
