Dorothy M. England, 96, of Columbus, died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. England was a homemaker and a member of Little Barren Baptist Church in Green County, Kentucky.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Adam Carrigan officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mrs. England was born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, on July 22, 1920, to George and Lela Taylor Shirley.
She married William E. England December 24, 1935. He preceded her in death January 13, 1978.
Survivors include her children, Roger B. (Catherine) England, Betty P. Whittington, Lester A. (JoAnn) England and Jeanette A. Ferrenburg, all of Columbus; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; four sisters; a daughter, Wanda L. Coy in 1993; and sons-in-law, Carl Whittington and Mike Ferrenburg.
